Wadopana Pow-wow Celebration
August 3-5, 2023

This celebration is the oldest traditional pow-wow in Montana and an opportunity for you to visit among the elders and younger generation. An Ri Ra Montana Irish Festival
August 11-13, 2023
Butte, Montana
The Montana Gaelic Cultural Society has been active since 1997, sponsoring classes in the Irish language and Irish dance, and promoting and sponsoring music and drama presentations. Their signature event is the upcoming An Rí Rá Montana Irish Festival. You can see the full schedule of events right here. Hays Community Pow Wow

Featuring an entire weekend full of dancing and singing by natives from throughout the United States and Canada, the Hays Powwow is one of the area’s finest outdoor celebrations. They welcome all to enjoy the finest dancing and singing from Indian Country in the Little Rocky Mountains in North Central Montana! This is a free event. Bring your chairs and cameras too!
Huckleberry Days Arts Festival
August 11 -13, 2023
Whitefish, Montana
The 34th annual Huckleberry Days Arts Festival is located at Depot Park (Railway St. & Central Ave.). It is Northwest Montana’s finest art fair with highlights including aerial dance performances by Levitation Nation on Saturday and Sunday. 52nd Annual Courthouse Art Festival

Every summer, Sandpiper Art Gallery on the south end of Flathead Lake organizes this elaborate art fair on the Courthouse lawn. As local musicians perform throughout the day, you can stroll through the park-like setting and take in some of the finest artistry to be found. Crow Fair and Rodeo

Experience the life of the Crow Tribe through their annual Crow Fair and Rodeo every August. Parades, dancers, drums, and horse races will be some of the events at the 104th Annual event. It is called the teepee capital of the world with over 2,000 teepees set up on the fairgrounds for the event – so bring your cameras and the whole family, too!

Before the summer is over, you might want to put this on your ‘to-do’ list. Poplar Indian Days is another classic Pow Wow with the celebration of native culture and traditions through dancing, food, crafts, and fellowship with one another. All members of the general public are welcome to participate or spectate.
