Hiking near Jewel Basin
We encourage everyone to try new things. Last weekend Diana decided that snowshoeing would be a nice aerobic activity after hearing about Kellie and her family trying out this type of hiking. She proceeded into a favorite local sporting goods store Sportsman and Ski Haus , and never one to buy a basic pair, she upgraded to the “easy on – easy off” style. (Hint: There are no sizes, as the sizing goes by weight ….. yikes…. So, just tell the salesperson to step away, then grab the right size and run to the cashier thus avoiding that embarrassing moment!) But, it was all worth it as she and her husband traveled partway up the Jewel Basin Rd and found a beautiful trail in the woods on a lovely sunny winter afternoon for their first adventure.
